TEMPORALITY
the strenght of being
uncertain
Project: master graduation 2009
In urban areas there are all kinds of
unused spaces. Spaces that are not in
use because of changes in city
structures, because of procedures that
take a long time, because of money
issues.
Sometimes they are there for just a
short moment between destruction and
construction but more often these
areas are not in use for a much longer
period. This non-use can be seen as
'just temporal', but instead of
excluding these areas, they could also
function as an inspiration, an
experimental LAB as part of the total
development of urban areas.
Temporality, in this case, is not about
a duration in time, but much more
about the unique qualities of being
temporal.
