“The sensorial advertisement of
Suzhou”
The main goal is to give a voice
back to the Suzhou River community
through recognition of its existence,
which is in the processes of being
erased by Shanghai’s rapid urban
transformation.
The installation seeks to artistically
manifest the collective sights,
diverse viewpoints and sounds of
this “Forgotten City.”
This installation ended up as a
forest of 'voices' of the community
in three different layers;
sound, images and spoken words
(ears, eyes and mouth)
